“In our current uprooted time an existential emptiness has arisen. By separating body and mind and the resulting objectification of the world, man has come to dominate the world instead of being an integrated part of nature. The disastrous consequences of this spiritual attitude become visible in the many catastrophes that take place as a result of man-made climate change. The corona crisis can also be traced back to this.

The human body, including our brain, has evolved in relation to the physical world around us. We have lost that physical connection and the deep satisfaction that working with our body and the earth gives us. The growing realization of this means that my work has gained in significance and urgency within the current context. In my work I try to restore the connection and look for an end from which a new beginning is possible.”
